Sept 24: A de-PRESSE-ing ending

Inside a legendary tower of adamantium, and kept company by a slain mage, the party rests after an adventurous expedition that got them lost in the wilds outside Gracklstugh, the City of Blades.

The party found trouble north of the Duergar settlement in the form of witnessing a ghastly dragon emerge from the Darklake, killing a patrol of Kuo-toa that would not sing for them, and horrible children that had taken over a Duergar outpost. Now, having become somewhat lost, the party plans their next steps to find their bearings and move West to find the Lifedrinker Abyss, a place where an ancient tomb and the wealth buried within it sank from the surface many ages past. Rumored to be within this tomb is a magical sword, the first prize needed to rebuild the armed forces of Belwar's hometown.

Route to the Tomb

The party reached the life drinker abyss and were attacked by shadows on a narrow bridge but repelled them with a lot of fire.

Ghost Shouters

The party encountered the spirit of Brysis of Kaem, who did not take to Belwar's presence well due to massive racism against underdark races. They ultimately convinced the spirit to let them explore the tomb and seek her sword, but she warned them that her body would fight back against any effort to take the weapon.

GHOSTS

The party found a room with four sarcophagi. When Belwar touched a sarcophagus numerous specters and shadows appeared. The party barely fought them off and rested in the baement of the tomb/tower. The party found a secret passage underneath a sarcophagus on rollers and found the grave of Brysis.

That really hurt / Presse gets shanked

Upon opening the grave and taking dawnbreaker, the skeleton of Brysis attacked. Although the party was ultimately victorious, Presse fell to dark magic and was temporarily risen as an undead. With the defeat of Brysis Presse's body died again, and the party prepared to carry the body back to civilization.
